Description

We’re seeking a skilled and adaptable Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our construction team. This role offers a wide variety of tasks, from servicing trailers and trucks to maintaining small equipment and supporting shop operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform DOT inspections and repairs on company trailers
  • Diagnose and repair ¾-ton trucks, light-duty vehicles, and small construction equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machine attachments, pumps, and tools
  • Service and troubleshoot gas and diesel engines, fuel systems, ignition systems, and cooling systems
  • Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, fluid checks, brake and tire inspections, belt and hose replacements
  • Handle electrical repairs including batteries, fuses, lights, and wiring
  • Transport vehicles and equipment between shop and job sites as needed
  • Assist with shop organization, tool management, and in-progress repairs
  • Support operations with load coordination and scheduling
  • Document completed work and maintain equipment status records
  • Help organize yard storage and materials
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or certification in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment, or Automotive Mechanics
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a repair shop or maintenance environment
  • Basic understanding of trailer repair, truck systems, and small engine maintenance
  • Willingness to learn and grow into more complex repair tasks
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and company protocols
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Familiarity with construction or industrial equipment is a plus
  • CDL or willingness to obtain one is an advantage
  • Must have or be able to obtain necessary tools to perform job tasks
