Description
We’re seeking a skilled and adaptable Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our construction team. This role offers a wide variety of tasks, from servicing trailers and trucks to maintaining small equipment and supporting shop operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform DOT inspections and repairs on company trailers
 - Diagnose and repair ¾-ton trucks, light-duty vehicles, and small construction equipment
 - Conduct preventative maintenance on machine attachments, pumps, and tools
 - Service and troubleshoot gas and diesel engines, fuel systems, ignition systems, and cooling systems
 - Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, fluid checks, brake and tire inspections, belt and hose replacements
 - Handle electrical repairs including batteries, fuses, lights, and wiring
 - Transport vehicles and equipment between shop and job sites as needed
 - Assist with shop organization, tool management, and in-progress repairs
 - Support operations with load coordination and scheduling
 - Document completed work and maintain equipment status records
 - Help organize yard storage and materials
 - Perform other related duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment, or Automotive Mechanics
 - Minimum 2 years of experience in a repair shop or maintenance environment
 - Basic understanding of trailer repair, truck systems, and small engine maintenance
 - Willingness to learn and grow into more complex repair tasks
 - Ability to follow safety guidelines and company protocols
 - Good organizational and communication skills
 - Ability to climb stairs and ladders
 - Familiarity with construction or industrial equipment is a plus
 - CDL or willingness to obtain one is an advantage
 - Must have or be able to obtain necessary tools to perform job tasks
